Monday 16th July 2018 - Stage 10 - Annecy - Le Grand-Bornand

The first day in the mountains started with breakfast at 6:30am. This was a full breakfast which included salmon, hot chocolate, eggs etc. The French coffee machines do more than a passable hot chocolate.

By 8:35am we were on the bikes. It was fine, sunny, calm and started off flattish around Lake Annecy.

After that, the features of the day were climbs, vehicle traffic and cycling traffic. Then there were more climbs and descents. The climbs were good fun.

After 7hrs 13m of riding, covering 171km with 3,801 metres of climbing, I finished the stage.

Dinner was at 7:45pm and we did not get to bed until after 9:30pm. Wi-fi was dodgy and time limited so no blog update was possible on the day.
